Depression

Feeling down or having a "blue day" is a common reaction to the ups and downs of life. Depression is something different. It often is accompanied by feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, lack of enjoyment of life, irritability, crying spells, and even thoughts about hurting yourself. Depression can be treated. I can support you in changing your thoughts and finding your way back to feeling good about yourself and your life.

Holding Hands

Grief & Loss

The loss of a loved one through death, the ending of a relationship. or a move can feel devastating and overwhelming. You may feel sadness, anger, hopelessness, loneliness, guilt, or anxiety. Grief impacts each of us differently and there is no specific time frame or "right way" to grieve. Through therapy, I can assist you in moving through the hard work of grieving and finding some peace after the pain of loss.

Giving a Hand

Men's Issues

Men do not feel comfortable talking about their feelings or struggles. Beginning therapy can feel like admitting that you can't handle everything by yourself or that you are not "strong enough" to solve your own problems. I believe men experience pain just as often and intensely as women, and that we can all use a helping hand sometimes to learn different ways to cope with our struggles. I specialize in addressing the specific needs of men in therapy, and I provide a comfortable, relaxed and non-judgmental environment for men to find solutions to their problems.

Divorce

The decision to end a relationship can be traumatic, chaotic and emotionally overwhelming. You may feel anger, sadness, guilt, anxiety, loneliness or fear. You may feel great doubts about what your future may hold or how you will carry-on after the relationship is over. Parents often have fears about how their children will be impacted. I have helped scores of clients navigate through the difficult period before, during and after a divorce and find a peaceful life

Do you have difficulty staying focused and are easily distracted? Are you frequently losing your keys or cell phone? Are you always late despite your best efforts to be on time? Do you have difficulty sitting still or starting and finishing a task? If you answered yes to these questions, you may have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). You may or may not have diagnosed as a child, but there are interventions that can help you lead a more productive and peaceful life despite these challenges. I will work with you on finding interventions that can help you at home, at work and at school.
