Real stories from clients who made the choice of a better life

"See More Clearly"

Making positive changes....

I have seen different counselors for varying durations over the past two decades.  Julie is simply the best!  All of the therapists that I saw understood that you have to make your own decisions, but Julie has the unique ability to help me see more clearly and consistently on my own.  I was already fairly successful at work and in life, but now I’m more at peace and have better relationships--personal and work.  I will always be grateful to her!  --J.S.

"Judgement Free"

Happiness is a journey....

I’ve seen Julie for nearly three years.  She actively listens and offers feedback and suggestions for creating and reinforcing healthier relationships, interpersonal skills, and a more positive inner dialogue (self-talk). She offers sound advice when appropriate and solicited.  Julie offers a judgement free space to work through any issue, big or small, whether it is childhood trauma or everyday coping with juggling spouse, work, kids and life’s many demands.  I feel as though she has become for me an invaluable and essential resource for my overall mental health and well-being.  --B.C.

"See Logic, Truth"

For everyone fights a battle...

Julie has been a tremendous help to me in many difficult situations.  She helps me to see logic, truth and ways to cope with anxiety, trauma, and life altering events.  --E.M.

"I am Happy"

Finding oneself is merely a gift to the self....

Like so many things in our lives, we sometimes get lucky when we least expect it.  That is how it was with finding Julie who saved me when I was at my lowest point. It is important to say that I had tried two other counselors with no luck.  I was stuck in an abusive marriage for many years, and it had dragged me down with no hope in sight.  Julie helped me to understand myself and, more importantly, my own self-worth.  I am now able to make difficult decisions and have gained control over my life.  I am happy for the first time in my life!  --N.S

"She Listens"

Admitting you need help is is not a weakness, its a strength...

I have been seeing Julie for approximately one year. It has been my experience that a great therapist is like a unicorn, impossible to find and does not exist. Julie is a unicorn in the world of therapy. Over the years I have seen several different therapists and not one can even come close to the level of Julie. I have made more progress working with Julie than I could have ever hoped for. When I first started working with her, I could barely leave the house because my anxiety was consuming me. I could not grocery shop, work a job outside of the home, go to school, spend time with my husband… I was living in hell.

Today, I am not even close to the same person. I still struggle, and I know that I have much work ahead of me, but right now I can buy my own groceries, go to class, and I even went to a concert!  One of the things that has always stood out to me about Julie is that she actually listens to what you are saying, and I mean truly listens. She is compassionate, empathetic, kind, and it is apparent that she wants what is best for the client. Admitting you need help is hard. Therapy is hard. Julie makes it so that you do not feel alone in the process. She works there right by your side through some pretty tough times. I always tell my friends that she “gently guides me” through my “situations”.  I am a hot mess, and she can always bring me back to the task at hand, which is not easy to do with me! I cannot say enough good things about Julie and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that is struggling in life. --A. M.
