When beginning therapy, I believe that the most important factor is finding the right fit between yourself and the therapist. That means finding a therapist who “gets you” and with whom you can feel connected and relaxed.
I would like to be that therapist for you.
I welcome you to give me a call to discuss how I can help you reach your goals and find more peace in your life.
One of the most important things to know about me is that I love what I do. I love being a therapist, and I feel very lucky to have found a profession that is also my passion. I am very proud to say that my best source of referrals over the years has always been previous clients.
I have worked in the mental health field since 1994 when I graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from The University of Michigan. I have been privileged to work with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings that has given me broad experience working with people in emotional pain.

Through therapy, I believe you can find realistic ways to make changes to improve your life. Over the years, my approach to therapy has expanded and evolved.
I am trained in a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and solution-focused. I work to find the best intervention for each client and to develop a tailored plan to meet each individual’s needs.
I provide practical and down-to-earth counseling to relieve your emotional pain and bring greater peace and joy to your life.

Clinical Therapist

Dedicated
For the first several years of my career, I worked with patients and their families in hospital settings both at The University of Michigan Medical Center and the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
I assisted patients and their families in dealing with new medical issues, chronic health issues, and, at times, end of life issues.

Caring
I also had the privilege to work at the Employee Assistance Program for the Henry Ford Health System.
We specialized in working with employees with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and workplace difficulties.
I also had the opportunity to train new employees and to supervise graduate students in their development as therapists.

Experienced
Since 2003, I have been working as a clinic therapist in agencies in Ann Arbor and Northville. Recently, I have also opened a private practice. Over the years, I have developed a broad knowledge base and have developed expertise in a variety of areas including:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Grief and Loss
-
Men’s issues
-
Adult ADHD
